QwkHire is a Laravel based web application with a growing user base. The platform connects Clients and Contractors, similar to Upwork but with some differences. My role here is to maintain existing code and lead the development process with a small team. I am the main developer in charge of developing and also testing new features. I helped to build the platform from the ground up and it has various API integrations and in some parts complex business logic, including an escrow system and a very powerful admin panel to manage everything on the application. This app has Laravel queues integrated to deal with the heavy processes, such as email and payment requests. For the front end we used a paid theme that uses Bootstrap 3.7.
